»We Get It. Parking Can Be a Pain.
All it takes is a few seconds to double-check that you're parking mindfully.
Most streets around campus have permitted parking for those residents only. Yes, this
also means that you can't bring your own permit to park closer to campus and walk
over.
Your neighbors will appreciate your thoughtfulness, and who couldn't use a few extra
brownie points or an extra parking spot for that matter?

Parking Reminders
- Make sure you are parking fully in your driveway, not blocking any sidewalks. This can be difficult to navigate for people using wheelchairs or strollers.
- Remember, parking is free on campus! However, ensure that you are not parked in permitted areas surrounding campus, even if you have a permit.
- Instead of parking a vehicle on your lawn, use your driveway or parking space in front of your home.
- If there are any inactive vehicles, park them on the driveway.
- Take your neighbors or roommates into consideration by leaving space for others to park, too.
Rideshare Incentives
There are other modes of transportation that you can take, including shuttles, buses,
trains, or bikes.
- Chapman U-Pass Plan for OCTA Bus Riders: Receive a subsidy covering the first $30 of your monthly fares.
- Metrolink Corporate Pass: Get subsidized Metrolink passes, such as the Monthly Pass or the 5-Day Flex Pass.
- Zipcar: Rent one of the four cars on campus at a discounted rate. Gas, insurance, and up to 180 miles per day are included in the cost of renting a car.
