»IT Faculty Advisory Board (IT-FAB)
Overview
The Information Technology - Faculty Advisory Board (IT-FAB) members meet monthly with senior leaders in IS&T to provide direction and feedback about upcoming IT projects, goals, and initiatives. Members are expected to guide decision-making and disseminate timely information to their divisions about IT-related matters. It is of high importance for Advisory Board members to weigh in from their disciplinary perspective and their experience as Chapman faculty and administrators.
The advisory board members are selected by the academic Deans at Chapman University.
Structure
The IT Faculty Advisory Board (IT-FAB) is organized under Chapman University Vice President and Chief Information Officer Helen Norris’ leadership. Dr. Jana Remy, AVP of Educational Technology Services, serves as the Chair.

Current IT-FAB Involvement
IT-FAB is currently involved in the following projects:
- YuJa Video Platform is an all-in-one video experience to create, manage, discover, and deliver video content across devices. YuJa integrates with Canvas to make it easier for instructors to create, store, and share videos with their students.
- Namecoach is designed to support inclusive practices. The NameCoach Canvas integration allows everyone in a Canvas course or Canvas DEN to record and share the pronunciation of their names and use their pronouns.
- Kahoot! is an educational technology game-based platform and an effective method for active learning. Faculty can administer quizzes and surveys and help facilitate student discussion.
